1. Who we are

StreamX provides a monthly membership that provisions and maintains a separate Stremio account configured for public-domain movies. StreamX is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, password hash, and account identifiers.
• Subscription information: your Stripe customer and subscription references, payment status, billing period, and cancellation status. StreamX does not receive or store your complete card number.
• Provisioning information: the status and results needed to create and maintain your separate Stremio account, including encrypted credentials and personalized configuration data.
• Security and technical information: session data, IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, and limited diagnostic logs generated when you use the service.
• Communications: messages you send to customer support and records needed to respond.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

• create and secure your StreamX account;
• start, administer, and cancel your monthly membership;
• provision, maintain, and deliver your Stremio account;
• send service messages and credential-delivery emails;
• provide support and investigate errors, fraud, or abuse;
• meet accounting, legal, and regulatory obligations; and
• improve the reliability and security of StreamX.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where we ask for it.

4. Payments

Stripe processes checkout, payment credentials, invoices, and billing management. Stripe receives information you provide at checkout and processes it under its own privacy policy. StreamX receives only the payment and subscription details needed to provide your membership.

5. When we share information

We share information only as needed with payment, hosting, database, email, security, and account-provisioning providers that help operate StreamX. These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary for their role. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

When we provision your membership, we create your separate Stremio account directly with Stremio. Stremio receives the account email address and password that StreamX generates for you (not your personal name or email address), along with the add-on configuration we apply. Stremio processes this information, and your subsequent use of the Stremio account, under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

6. Cookies and sessions

StreamX uses essential cookies and similar local storage to keep you signed in, protect account sessions, and remember security-related state. These technologies are necessary for the requested service. We do not use them for third-party targeted advertising.

7. Retention and security

We retain information while your account is active and afterward only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain transaction records, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and applicable law.

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Sensitive provisioning results are encrypted at rest, access is restricted, and payment credentials are handled by Stripe. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

8. International processing

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards for international transfers.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing depends on consent and complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children

StreamX is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

11. Changes and contact
