Use Google Play, or the official download page if the app is unavailable in your region.
Use Stremio Web in Safari, add it to your Home Screen, and select VLC for playback.

Search your TV's app store. Availability depends on the model, year, and region.
iPhone and iPad are supported through Stremio Web with an external player, but require extra setup. Apple TV and tvOS are not supported.

iOS playback works through Stremio Web and an external video player. Complete these steps once, then launch Stremio from your Home Screen like an app.

- Add Stremio Web to your Home Screen. In Safari, go to web.stremio.com and choose Share, Add to Home Screen, turn on Open as Web App, then tap Add.

- Choose VLC as the external player. In Stremio Settings, open Advanced, find Play in external player, and select VLC.
Install Stremio on Fire TV
Stremio is not available in the Amazon Appstore, so Fire TV requires a one-time sideload from Stremio's official website. Menu names can vary slightly by Fire OS version.
- Install Downloader. From the Fire TV Home screen, open Find or Search. Search for Downloader, choose Downloader by AFTVnews, then select Get or Download.
- Reveal Developer Options if needed.Go to Settings, My Fire TV, then About. Select your Fire TV device name seven times. Go back to My Fire TV and open Developer Options. Skip this step if it is already visible.
- Allow Downloader to install apps.Open Install Unknown Apps and turn on Downloader. On older Fire OS versions, turn on Apps from Unknown Sources instead.

- Download the Android TV ARM APK.Scroll to Stremio for Android TV and choose the ARM APK. Do not download an APK from an unofficial website.
- Install Stremio and remove the installer.Select Install, then Done. Back in Downloader, select Delete and confirm to remove the downloaded APK; this does not remove Stremio. You can now turn off Downloader's unknown-app permission.
- Open Stremio and sign in.Launch Stremio from Your Apps and use the generated Stremio email and password from your StreamX Account. You can move Stremio to the front of the app row for easier access.
Once signed in, your Stremio account and configured addons sync across supported devices. You do not need to repeat the setup.
Watch your first movie
The catalog is ready. Choose a title and a source your device can play.
On mobile or slower internet, choose 1080p.
If you are watching on an Android phone or iPhone, or your connection is slower, start with a source around 10–20 GB. Smaller files require less bandwidth and are less likely to buffer. If playback still stutters, choose an even smaller source.
- Sign inUse the generated Stremio email and password.
- BrowseOpen Home or Discover and find the public-domain catalogs.
- ChooseOpen a movie and compare the resolution and file size before selecting a source.
- AdjustIf playback struggles, choose a smaller source or lower the resolution before changing device settings.
Keep the catalog responsible
Keep the StreamX-provisioned setup unchanged unless an add-on begins to make available content that infringes copyright or that you are not legally authorized to access. Remove any such add-on immediately.
Manage your membership
Your StreamX account is the starting point for every billing action.
Open the portal from StreamX each time instead of bookmarking its temporary, customer-specific URL. If you cancel, access remains active through the end of the paid billing period.
Open my accountQuick fixes
Start with the symptom. Most problems need only one simple check.
My Stremio login is rejected
Use the generated Stremio email and password from StreamX Account. Do not use your StreamX password. Copy both values exactly and remove any accidental spaces.
Provisioning is still pending
Wait a few minutes and refresh your StreamX account page. Temporary failures are retried for you. Do not start a second subscription. Keep any error message if you need support.
My catalogs or add-ons are missing
Confirm that Stremio is using the generated account, then sign out, sign back in, and restart the app. Do not manually rebuild or remove configured add-ons unless one begins to make available content that infringes copyright or that you are not legally authorized to access. Remove any such add-on immediately.
Playback buffers or stutters
On an Android phone, iPhone, or slower connection, start with a 1080p source around 10–20 GB. If playback still buffers, choose an even smaller source, restart the app and device, and check your connection. On some TVs, Wi-Fi can be faster than the built-in Ethernet port. You can also test Stremio's hardware-accelerated decoding setting.
The picture is purple, green, split, or black - or there is no sound
The selected source may use a format your device cannot decode. Choose another source. If the issue repeats, try an external player supported by your device.
My subscription is inactive
Open StreamX Account, choose Manage billing, and check the payment status in Stripe. After resolving the issue, return to StreamX and refresh the account page.
When asking for help
Include your device model, operating system, Stremio version, exact error, and the step that failed. Never send passwords, API keys, personalized addon URLs, or payment-card details.
